Celebrating a major milestone at age 58, Julia Roberts treated fans to a rare snapshot featuring her and her husband, cinematographer Daniel Moder, on social media. The tribute was dedicated to the couple’s 24 years of marriage.
Accompanying the photo, Roberts shared a short yet sweet sentiment:
“Twenty-four. And counting.”

The pair originally met back in 2000 during the production of the movie The Mexican. Moder was working behind the scenes as a camera assistant, while Roberts was starring in the film alongside lead actor Brad Pitt. Although both were dating other people when their paths first crossed, Roberts later clarified in an interview that their romantic connection didn’t actually spark until they had both formally closed those chapters, giving themselves a true chance at a new love.

Now, the duo are parents to three children: 21-year-old fraternal twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, and an 18-year-old son named Henry. Even though they are part of one of the most famous households in the entertainment industry, Roberts and Moder have deliberately shielded their kids from the relentless media spotlight, allowing them to grow up away from the cameras. They only occasionally share personal family highlights, usually reserving those peeks for special milestones like birthdays, often marked by nostalgic throwback photos.

Today, with the twins currently away at college and their youngest finishing high school, Julia has expressed how incredibly proud she is of the independent, kind, and compassionate young adults they have become.

Back in 2021, Hazel stepped into the limelight for a rare public outing with her dad when the two walked the red carpet together for the Flag Day premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Roberts has also opened up about their household dynamic, noting that she and Moder practice a grounded, somewhat strict parenting style. She believes in setting clear expectations and rules for their children-including regular household chores like laundry and cleaning- while always building their relationship on mutual trust and maintaining a deeply bonded, warm family environment.
