HITMAN 2

Genre: Action, Spy, Thriller
Estimated Runtime: 118 minutes
The film opens with a dark, cold scene at an abandoned factory on the outskirts of Berlin. Agent 47 stands in heavy rain, wearing his signature black suit, holding a silenced pistol. In front of him lies the body of an elderly scientist. On the victim’s wrist is a tattoo of a two-headed snake — the symbol of the newly risen organization known as Providence.
47 pulls a USB drive from the dead man’s pocket and disappears into the shadows. The movie title appears in blood-red font on a black background: HITMAN 2.
The main story begins at the secret ICA Headquarters in Geneva. Diana Burnwood, 47’s handler, contacts him through his earpiece. She informs him that ICA is facing its greatest threat yet. A shadowy organization called “The Shadow Consortium” has infiltrated ICA and bribed several agents. They are developing a powerful mind-control biovirus capable of controlling humans on a massive scale. The leader is Viktor Novikov — a Russian billionaire whom 47 had supposedly assassinated in the first Hitman, but it turns out it was only a body double. The real Viktor is still alive and seeking revenge.
Mission 1: Paris, France 47 arrives in Paris under the identity of an Italian fashion designer. His targets are two people:
- Madame Sophie Laurent – a famous designer and information broker for the Shadow Consortium.
- Head of security Jean-Claude Magnier.
During a grand party at the Palais Garnier, 47 blends in with the elite crowd. He uses a sedative gas to knock Sophie unconscious in the dressing room, then disguises himself as a bodyguard to carry her out. However, Magnier discovers the plan and chases 47 across the rooftops of Paris. A thrilling action sequence follows as 47 leaps between rooftops, snipes from a distance, and finally strangles Magnier with a garrote wire in a dark corner. Before dying, Magnier reveals that Viktor is in Bangkok.
Mission 2: Bangkok, Thailand 47 checks into the luxurious River View Hotel as a famous celebrity chef. His targets are the Songchai brothers — two scientists completing the final formula for the virus.
In the hotel’s massive kitchen, 47 poisons a dish meant for Songchai. While chaos erupts as Songchai collapses, 47 sneaks into the secret laboratory on the top floor. He confronts Kritsana in an intense shootout. 47 is shot in the shoulder but manages to inject a sample of the virus into Kritsana, causing him to hallucinate and commit suicide. Before dying, Kritsana whispers: “Viktor is not the real leader… he’s just a pawn.”
Mission 3: Marrakech, Morocco Under the scorching desert heat, 47 disguises himself as a military officer. His targets are General Zaydan and a top political advisor of the Shadow Consortium.
In the ancient medina marketplace, 47 sparks a riot by firing a shot into the air. Amid the chaos, he infiltrates the general’s residence and strangles Zaydan with a piano wire. Before dying, Zaydan reveals the final location: a private island off the coast of New Zealand.
Climax: Shadow Island, New Zealand This is the film’s explosive finale. 47 infiltrates the island by submarine. The entire island is a high-tech fortress filled with mercenaries, surveillance cameras, guard dogs, and laser defense systems.
47 systematically eliminates the guards using various methods:
- Long-range sniper shots
- Disguising as a doctor to inject poison
- Environmental kills: releasing a swarm of bees into a guard room and causing a gas explosion
Finally, 47 confronts Viktor Novikov in the central laboratory. Viktor is no longer fully human — he has injected himself with the virus, becoming stronger, faster, and able to predict movements. A brutal hand-to-hand fight ensues. 47 is overpowered and nearly choked to death.
In the final moment, 47 remembers Diana’s words: “Sometimes you don’t need a gun.” He uses the poisoned pen Diana gave him and stabs it into Viktor’s neck. The virus reacts violently, causing Viktor’s nervous system to collapse. Before dying, Viktor laughs: “The Consortium is not just me…”
Ending 47 meets Diana at a small café in Rome. Diana reveals that the Shadow Consortium still exists and its true leader is a very familiar figure — possibly someone inside ICA. 47 remains silent, staring out the window, and places his Silverballer pistol on the table.
The screen fades to black. A gunshot echoes in the background. The text “To be continued…” appears.
Post-Credit Scene: A mysterious man sits in darkness, holding Agent 47’s file. On the file is written: “Project 47 must be terminated.” The man’s face is briefly revealed — it is Arthur Edwards, “The Constant” from the Hitman games.
